Ok... so call us corny but at A Fair Cup not only do we want to give you a great cup of coffee, we also want to do what we can to make the World that little bit better. So in every decision we make, we keep that thought in mind.

All our coffee, tea, sugar and hot chocolate is Fairtrade. This means that the farmers and workers in developing countries get a fair price and an additional premium to invest in a sustainable future. 

Also all our coffee, tea and milk* is organic. We just think that organic farming is better for everybody; It avoids using pesticides, chemical fertilisers, growth hormones and antibiotics, it’s more sustainable and it just seems more natural, don’t you think?  

We also want to do our bit to help tackle climate change by trying to be as sustainable as possible. That’s why we recycle as much as we can. All our plastic bottles, cans, paper and cardboard is recycled and we also pack up our spent coffee grounds for anyone to take to add to their compost then use on their garden.

We’re also doing what we can to be sustainable in our energy usage. That’s why we prefer simple, low energy solutions such as installing energy saving lighting and providing blankets on cold days to our seated customers rather than gas powered patio heaters.

We also support local suppliers, use an ethical bank and only use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
